Installation Technician

About the Role

As an Installation Technician with us, you will be a key person in a newly established installation department within a growing company with customers across Sweden. You will be part of a team that builds and develops the department from the ground up, with the opportunity to influence working methods, routines, and future development.

You will work with installations, commissioning, and servicing of technical systems at our customers' sites – often in the field. Our largest customers are OKQ8, Keolis, and Skellefteå Kraft, which means you will work with modern and varied facilities where quality and safety are in focus.

The job involves a lot of travel and overnight stays, which suits you if you enjoy freedom, variety, and working practically in different environments. There may be up to about 30 weeks per year of work in other locations. Since the assignments are spread across the country, your place of residence does not matter – what is important is that you enjoy traveling for work.

Main Responsibilities

· Perform installations and commissioning of technical systems at customer sites

· Troubleshoot, service, and maintain existing installations

· Ensure that work is carried out according to applicable safety regulations and quality requirements

· Document completed work and report to the project manager

· Collaborate with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers on-site

· In smaller projects in the installation department, you will assist and support the service department as needed

Your Background

· Experience in technical installations, preferably in electrical, automation, energy, or similar fields

· Experience in the fuel industry, such as installation of pumps, payment terminals, or related equipment, is highly meritorious

· Electrical certification or training as an electrician is an advantage

· A C driver's license is advantageous

· Good technical understanding and experience reading drawings and installation documents

· A B driver's license is a requirement

· Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

We are looking for someone who thrives in an independent role where you can take responsibility and solve problems on-site. You are practical, meticulous, and have an easy time collaborating.

Since the work is often performed together with a colleague in pairs, it is important that you are a team player who values good cooperation, clear communication, and shared responsibility.

You will be responsible for your own inventory and stock balance, which means keeping track of materials, ensuring necessary spare parts are available, and managing purchases and replenishment as needed.

You will also be responsible for booking your own hotels and travel in connection with assignments around the country, which requires good planning skills and organizational abilities.

As you meet customers and represent the company in the field, you are service-oriented and professional in your approach. You enjoy traveling a lot for work and see it as an advantage to experience different working environments across the country.
